I work from my home studio, situated in a rural village in East Sussex, surrounded by the lovely countryside that this beautiful county has to offer.

My love for all things sewing began at an early age and it has never dwindled. I am at my happiest when I am in my workroom, with pins, scissors and fabrics to hand, busily stitching my way through various projects.

​

I have a degree in Textile Design and over the years I have used my pattern cutting and construction skills to design and make numerous bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride outfits. As a qualified teacher I have spent many hours teaching textile crafts, whilst continuing to further my own interests and skills. It was whilst teaching that I fell in love with computerised machine embroidery and all it has to offer.

The day I purchased my embroidery machine, I couldn't wait to get it home and switch it on. I knew from that moment onwards it was going to play a major part in my life and business and that it would open up a world of endless possibilities for me and my clients. Having spent many hours teaching myself how to digitise embroidery patterns, it was exciting to turn my first sketch into an embroidery design and to see it stitched out for the very first time.  Although I am creating new designs all the time, this feeling of anticipation and excitement never goes away.

My veils are both traditional and contemporary in style, catering for modern, romantic and adventurous brides. From concept and design, through to construction and completion, I work closely with my clients to create a veil that reflects their individual personality and style.

 

Making an embroidered veil is a labour of love, one that cannot be rushed, requiring patience and time. It is for this reason that I am only able to take on a limited number of commissions each year.

​

I consider myself very lucky to be spending my days doing what I enjoy the most. It is such a privilege to be asked to make a veil for a bride's wedding day, to create a unique design that is intertwined with meaning and love and to know that it will be treasured for years to come.
