Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get in touch?

The best way to get in touch, is via my contact form.  You will be asked for some details and information that will be helpful to answering your enquiry.

What is the lead time for an order?

My lead time is generally around 8 - 10 weeks, but this can vary depending on the time of year and the number of orders already placed. It is never too early to get in touch to discuss your ideas.

I am sometimes able to process a rush order, so please get in touch to see if I have a space in my work schedule.

How long does it take to make a veil?

There are lots of stages involved in making a veil. In addition to the consultation process, creating the designs and sampling the embroidery, it will take anything from 2 to 7 days to embroider and make a veil. During this time, you will receive updates and photographs of the progress being made.

How much does a bespoke veil cost?

As well as the style and length of a veil, the design and complexity of the embroidery will affect the overall price. My veils range anywhere from £250 - £1000+ offering unique designs, to suit various budgets.

As a guide:

Veils with small embroidered detail such as a motif, start at £250.

Veils with personalised details such as initials and date start at £295.

Script veils start at £325.

Veils with border designs start at £375. Borders that extend up to the fingertips, or beyond will typically be between £450 and £600.

Embroidery designs that cover the base of a veil and extend upwards, start from £550.

Do you offer a range of tulle fabrics and in different colours?

There is a wide range of tulle fabrics available to use, each varying in fibre content, finish and structure. These differing properties will affect the way a tulle gathers, drapes and flows. Some veils styles may suit a soft draping tulle, whereas others might require one that has more structure. You may require an illusion tulle, one that is ‘barely there’ to be seen.

I offer a range of tulles for you to choose from and I will guide you in your choice. My tulles are available in a full selection of colours, as well as traditional white, ivory and cream and I test all of the tulles that I use, in order to ensure that they will support the embroidery designs that I create for you.

Although the colour of the comb will not be seen when worn, I understand that brides like to colour co-ordinate detail and therefore I offer a choice of size and colour.

Can you embroider whatever I want, onto my veil?

In short, so long as I am not infringing any copyright, then technically the answer to this question is ‘yes’.
The process begins me with translating ideas into sketches and as a designer I bring my own unique style to the embroidery designs that I produce. I will work with you to create a veil that will complement both you and your bridal gown and generate a keepsake that you will want to treasure for ever.

Do you make veils, other than bespoke embroidered ones?

As a designer, I have chosen to specialise in making bespoke embroidered wedding veils.
I digitise my own unique designs, that are then stitched directly onto the surface of tulle fabric, as opposed to adding manufactured lace trims and appliques.
My embroidered veils can be decorated with embellishments such as crystals, beads and pearls, or my handmade 3D flowers.

Will you embroider a ready-made veil?

I am sorry to say that I do not offer a service to embroider ready-made veils, as this conflicts with the bespoke service that I offer. All of my veils are made by me, from start to finish, ensuring that I provide and maintain the high quality of workmanship for which I am known.

How will my veil be packaged and sent?

Your veil will be carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper and placed in one of my luxury keepsake boxes. You will be provided with a hook to hang your veil and instructions on how best to prepare your veil for your special day.

Postage is included for all UK orders. Veils are sent via Royal Mail, using a tracked, next working day, signed for service and insured to cover the full value of the order.

Please enquire for details and additional costs for international orders.
